ManTech Lands $200 Million Cybersecurity Contract with NOAA
ManTech International has been awarded an eight-year, $200 million contract by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to enhance its cybersecurity operations.
Under the agreement, ManTech will design and manage a state-of-the-art Security Operations Center (SOC) for NOAA’s Cyber Security Center (NCSC). This initiative is a key step in safeguarding NOAA’s expansive network that supports missions across land, sea, air, and space.
ManTech will deploy its innovative “cell-based” SOC model, a departure from traditional multi-tiered structures. This method uses agile principles and cutting-edge technologies to improve the speed and effectiveness of threat detection and response.
The approach has already demonstrated success in national security settings and is now being positioned as a model for future federal cybersecurity operations.
Stephen Deitz, President of ManTech’s Federal Civilian Sector, said the initiative not only strengthens NOAA’s defenses but could also serve as a template for other government agencies looking to modernize their cybersecurity strategies.
This contract reinforces ManTech’s reputation as a trusted federal partner in building secure and resilient systems for mission-critical government operations.
